The Windows were my interpretation of holiday window shopping on 5th Avenue in a library environment. I have been using bubble wrap for many of my projects. I like its fragile yet manufactured nature and its unique texture. I'm confronting its original function by creating an identifiable scene that celebrates its duality. I like to bring industrial materials into a more ceremonial space. The Water installation came out of my awareness of the worldwide water crisis. I used color to dramatize the severity of the problem, without naming individual countries. The red carpet was used to bring attention to the issue.
