This installation piece was created for the fall 2010 BWAC show "Lineage", where I was the featured artist. Transparent Space, the centerpiece of my exhibit of the same name, was composed of 144 plastic cups filled with water. The base of the piece was a 20' x 4' wooden platform, which was covered with a fluid, line painting on paper. The cups were placed over the painting in an organic, synergetic pattern. Clear strips, hanging from the ceiling evoked rain, in a frozen state, and completed creating the tenuous space where memory and time converge. As in my Bubble Series on paper, I was considering the fragility of memory and the flux in the space it occupies.
